Featured Home View slideshow of home below to the left This recently completed custom designed Timberpeg® Mountain Retreat home sits high in the mountains overlooking the valley of Horse Shoe, North Carolina. This unique home was designed by architect Ken Wertheim, AIA, an independent representative for Timberpeg® South, Inc. The home features a Douglas fir timberframe with authentic mortise and tenon joinery. This high performance, energy efficient house incorporates structural insulated panels (SIPS), has a Tulikivi fireplace, makes use of advanced technologies, and many “green” products have been integrated. The open design concept provides a unique spatial relationship between floors.
